St Aidan is still buzzing, the new cellar door has been open for several months now and are still stunned at how seamless the move was and how enjoyable it is to be in our new building. Our dream has turned into a reality and the beautiful rammed earth building which is situated between Ferguson Road and Ferguson River is treating staff and tasters alike to a relaxing and enjoyable country setting.
The café is finding a ready clientele for its sumptuous platters and tempting wines, not to mention playmates for the cellar dog; Maddy.

The celebration surrounding the opening has eclipsed our fantastic results at the 2009 RSM Bird Cameron Geographe Wine Show.
St Aidan Wines was awarded Most Successful Small Producer. The precursors to this were a Gold Medal for the 2007 Cabernet Merlot, which subsequently won Best Red Blend. A Silver Medal for the 2008 Chardonnay, which then won the best Chardonnay. A Silver Medal for Cassie Moscato, which won the Best Speciality Wine. Our contract with wine maker Mark Messenger also won the Nicholas Boudin Award for Excellence in Wine Making. We also received Bronze Medals for the Zena Liqueur Muscat, 2008 Sparkling Chardonnay, 2008 Cabernet Merlot and the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon. Phew, that was a mouthful, but we really had a fun night at the awards dinner!
the 2007 Cabernet Merlot also received Silver Medal at the 2009 Blackwood Valley Wine Show, a Bronze Medal in the 2009 Perth Royal Show and the 2009 Qantas Wine Show.

Consequently we couldn’t be happier with the way our wines and the new Cellar Door are developing and would love to see you there to join in the fun.
